Join us in spreading hope and support to foster and at-risk youth facing life’s toughest challenges. Together, we can help foster youth see the beauty in their potential and the hope in their tomorrow.
The Hardy Brother’s Foundation, in conjunction with Ruby’s House, is pleased to launch the Foster Youth Anti-Suicide Campaign to distribute free copies of a book filled with understanding and hope to foster care agencies and schools across the country. Our goal is simple: to remind every young person that their life matters, their story matters, and their future is bright.
Thanks for considering our cause. Your donation is what fuels the cause.
This is one of the best steps you can take before or after donating to the campaign. Help us reach more lives
Help the Hardy Brothers’ Foundation and Ruby’s House reach our goal to empower as many foster youths as possible. Your donation is tax-deductible and will help ensure that no young person feels forgotten, unloved, or without purpose.
Everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued.
“The basic need of all human beings is to feel lovable, capable, worthwhile, and responsible. After suffering trauma, neglect, and separation from their families, foster youth often feel hopeless, helpless, and frustrated by their situation. Perceiving to not have a voice or control over their circumstances, many feel abandoned and forgotten, slipping into despair and disdain for life.
Understanding these issues in child welfare, the need for suicide prevention, and self-esteem awareness is crucial for youth in foster care. This book encourages and empowers youth to feel valued and validated, inspiring them to identify as victors rather than victims. Not only could youths’ lives be saved but also positively changed, proffering amelioration of their futures.”

By providing resources like the anti-suicide book, we can offer the support and encouragement they need to navigate these challenges and realize their worth.
Foster youth are especially at risk due to the lack of consistent emotional support and the stigma surrounding their circumstances
Stories have the power to heal and inspire. The book isn’t just a guide—it’s a lifeline, filled with relatable experiences and practical strategies
Every young person we reach can become an advocate for hope, inspiring others in their community to believe in their own worth and potential.
If you’re reading this, you might be a young person facing some challenges right now—maybe even really tough ones. I had my own share of struggles growing up. There were days when I wondered why I was being punished, and times when I thought the world, or my mom, would be better off without me. For some reason, I could never picture myself as an adult. Even though I had such a strong mother, I still felt lost at times due to our circumstances. I’m here as an example that things can improve. Hard times are just temporary blips in the grand scheme of things. Your attitude, focus, perspective, determination, and a bit of creativity can make a big difference in how your life can change. I am living proof of that, and I need you to be living proof too. I am still here for a reason. Part of that reason is to be here for you. You are here for a reason too. Your story, your dreams, your smile WILL make this world a better place. You are loved. You are worthy. You are meant to be. You’ve got this. Don’t let anyone dim your light.
Every contribution counts. Your donation will go directly toward producing and distributing anti-suicide books to foster care agencies across the country

“There are many places I have been, very few are called home. You are my home. You’ve been my cornerstone through high school, college and beyond. Pulling me out of countless situations with your love and wisdom. Anytime I’ve called on you, you have never hesitated to lend an ear, a hand, or a shoulder. When I think of a love that’s too great to ever be able to repay, I think of the first home I ever truly known. When I go out into the world people are taken aback because of the compassion I give; the love that I share, the very love I’ve been given. The kindness that can’t be taught, only experienced. Not so many are fortunate to have that experience growing up. The impact you have made on my life has changed the lives of people around me because they too can experience what I have. You are my motivation. You are my backbone. You are the reason I can keep putting one foot in front of the other. Giving has never been an option because I wasn’t taught to give up, you taught me to love without fear of being hurt and give without expectation because blessings are made to be paid forward, and they always find their way back around. Im forever grateful to have been blessed to a part with our family. Like the prodigal child, your back has never turned and your arms remained opened. A thank you has never been enough to express the blessing you have been, not just to me, to all who have the pleasure of being known by you. Thank you.”
